I had my FIRST EVER interview in MANDARIN!
One month ago, when my investing friends asked to interview me, I was delighted! I have not met them for a while since COVID19 started and more importantly, they were in Taiwan while I was in Singapore.
I thought “This will be a great opportunity to catch up”, so I readily agreed.
But to my horror, they said the interview will be conducted in MANDARIN!
Oh my goodness, I have not spoken Mandarin in a long long time. In fact, the only time I speak in Mandarin is when I visit them in Taiwan.
But I am glad that I went out of my comfort zone and did it! It was a very enriching session and we discussed so much about investing in the current environment.
We even went in depth on a specific stock – Netflix!
